La Paillotte and La Petite Paillotte Details
La Paillotte and La Petite are set on opposite sides of a gravelled courtyard which includes plenty of space to park up to 4 cars and turn cars around.
La Paillotte
Open plan kitchen and lounge
The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of plates, crockery and glasses. It has an oven, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, filter coffee machine and French press.
The lounge has two sofas and a chair, a large bookcase, a coffee table, a cupboard full of board games and blankets (for use on chillier evenings on the terrace), a shoe rack and an internet enabled TV. It also has a large open fire. The cellar can be accessed under the front door and there is a good supply of logs provided.
Dining room
The dining room has a large wooden table which comfortably seats 10. An additional light metal table can be brought in from the the terrace if needed. There is a large corner cupboard full of glasses including plastic glasses to use by the pool. There is a big built in cupboard where plates, bowls and BBQ equipment are kept as well, as a cupboard for food storage and a baguette box.
Downstairs Bedroom and Bathroom
Bedroom 1 contains a Super Kingsize double bed, wardrobe, bedside cabinets and towel rail. There are two large windows with shutters.
The downstairs bathroom can be accessed from here (it is also accessible from the stairs). It has a toilet, shower, washbasin and towel rail and has recently been refurbished.
Upstairs Bedrooms and hallway
A further three bedrooms can be found upstairs. Bedroom 2 has a Super Kingsize bed, original wooden beams, a wardrobe, dressing table, bedside tables and towel rail. Bedroom 3 has two single beds which can be used separately or pushed together to form another Super Kingsize bed. It also has a built in wardrobe and book case. Bedroom 4 is accessible via Bedroom 3. It has a single bed, cupboard and superb views down the valley.
There is an office desk, monitor and chair in the hallway and also a cot (please ask if cot bedding is needed).
Upstairs bathroom
This has a shower, toilet, washbasin and more amazing views. This has also been recently refurbished.
Outside
A large wooden terrace can be accessed from La Paillotte's dining room via patio doors. It has two tables, a Weber BBQ and sun parasol. It offers stunning views across the valley. The terrace is fenced in. Wooden steps lead down to the garden which is grassed and the pool. At night, the remoteness of Lantilly makes this is a superb spot for star gazing.
The pool is surrounded by a security fence which must be kept closed at all times. The pool has sun loungers, two sun shades, a box of inflatables and toys and pool lights for evening swims.
Under the terrace in La Paillotte is a laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, gardens games, extra sun loungers, dog bowls and children's high chair.
There is enough space to park 4 cars. Electric vehicles can be charged on the mains plug in the cellar which can be reached from the driveway.
La Petite Paillotte
Lounge and Kitchen
Downstairs is an open plan kitchen, dining and seating area. The kitchen is fully stocked in the same way as La Paillotte. The dining table seats 8. In the lounge areas there are two sofas, two armchairs, a bookcase and a wood burner. Double doors lead onto a shaded terrace - a perfect place to spend hot days.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms. Bedroom one has a kingsize bed, sofa and armchair, wardrobe and chest of drawers, Bedroom 2 also has a kingsize bed, wardrobe and armchair. The third bedroom has two single beds. There is a newly refurbished bathroom with a bath, separate shower, toilet and sink.
There is also a large playroom equipped with a toy box for younger children, board games and a 7 ft pool / ping pong table. The playroom has a pull out sofa bed.
Linen and towels
All bedding, tea towels, oven gloves and bath mats are supplied. Each guest is provided with a bath sheet, a hand towel and a striped pool towel.
